I’m wholly unique and unnoticeable;
a flutter in flickering sky;
a heavenly sparkle, helping you see
the speck in your brother’s eye.
I flauntingly flurry and flirt through the air,
an attempt to annoy or allure;
fickle and flimsy, tugged by the wind,
I’m confidently insecure.
My life is but fleeting and fruitlessly spent,
I’m inconsequential and weak;
The world will not pause to grieve when I’ve gone;
I’m unnoticeable

Well, I entered another multi-round contest 
I'm not even slightly addicted. For this piece we had to write about ourselves using an extended metaphor (I picked a snowflake if it wasn't clear).
I actually like this piece, even if it is angsty. I don't know why, but I do. I had to think for ages about what to do for the prompt because I'm not entirely sure what I'm like (it would be better for everyone if you just didn't ask). I was considering using mould as the metaphor - I'm not that great to look at, strangely fun to prod, and you never expect to find me on the cheese in the fridge - but I just didn't fancy writing about it. It doesn't have the same flair as the snowflake.
Anywho, I know the meter's not perfect, but neither am I. And the fourth line isn't totally random, it's Biblical (Matthew 7:3 if you fancy brushing up on it for whatever reason). *wise nod*
If someone could tell me if they'd prefer "unsure" to "insecure" in the 8th line I would be extremely grateful. Or if you have any suggestions for less abysmal titles.
Edit: the consensus is "insecure", and I'm changing the title to "Snowflake" so people will have a clue what I'm on about.
